 Mission of the NLHS Panther Band

The mission of the North Lamar Band program is to prepare our students to live and work successfully in a changing world. Through the program, a student will learn the value of creativity, discipline, organization, teamwork and evaluation. The band program strives to promote a positive environment for which a student can grow, and mature physically, intellectually, aesthetically and emotionally in a secure environment, as well as, stimulating both logical and intuitive thinking. Participation in the North Lamar Band will heighten the awareness of the importance and value that music plays in our community and world.
